The first location of the field was at the southeast corner, with the field running parallel to 6th Avenue, and its second location was moved 90-degrees to the west to run parallel to University Boulevard. Following the 2004 football season, the university spent approximately $47 million on an expansion to the north end zone, which was completed days before the 2006 season opener against Hawaii. The expansion added a new upper deck to the North end zone area, complete with three different levels of skyboxes, which collectively are known as "The Zone", which brought the number of skyboxes in the stadium to 123. An expansion to the south end zone, completed during the Summer of 2010, increased its capacity to over 101,000 to make it the 9th largest stadium in the world by seating. All-time, Alabama has a record of 238 wins, 50 losses and 3 ties at Bryant–Denny in addition to selling out every home game since the 1988 season. Under the direction of head coach Hal Self, the college completed 1949 with a 4–5 record, turning in a slightly improved 5–4 record the following year.

Tennessee also advanced to a Super Regional, while Missouri State, Auburn, Lehigh, Princeton and Louisiana made regional appearances, and Rutgers and Bowling Green competed in the National Invitational Softball Championship. — Alabama ranks No. 1 in the country in rebounds per game (49.6), defensive rebounds per game (33.3), offensive rebounds per game (16.2) and No. 2 in rebound margin (+12.9). — Alabama is the only school in Division I to have two freshmen rank in the top 75 in rebounds per game, as Miller ranks No. 65 (8.4 rpg) and Noah Clowney ranks No. 73 (8.3 rpg). — Miller is the only freshman in the country to rank in the top 65 in points per game (No. 65) and rebounds per game (No. 65).

After a disappointing first year, Hudspeth led the Lions to another string of Division II playoff games. Bringing a big-name, high profile former Division I National Coach of the Year to Florence sparked anticipation for year number 61 of Lion football and Bowden's first team didn't disappoint. In three years in Florence Bowden compiled a record with three NCAA playoff appearances. Wallace left UNA following another playoff run in 1997 and the Lions elevated longtime defensive coordinator Bill Hyde to the head coaching position.
Tickets, Transfers and Stadium Entry
— Alabama’s win over No. 1 Houston was the Tide’s first true road victory over the nation’s top-ranked team in almost 40 years, dating back to Jan. 28, 1983 when UA won at then-No. He's currently in the top 75 in rebounds in the nation as Alabama remains the lone program in the country to have two freshmen be in the top 75. The former No. 13 center in the 2022 class was named the SEC Freshman of the Week for the second-consecutive week. Against the Cougars, Clowney recorded his first career double-double en route to a new career high in rebounds. On Monday, last year's blowout defeat and what ensued was brought up by one of the members who experienced that loss firsthand — Jahvon Quinerly.
For students who get overheated, cooling stations are located on level one at the entrance to section AA and on level two at the entrance to section BB. All students will be subject to security screening prior to entering Bryant-Denny Stadium. Security staff will utilize walk-through magnetometers, handheld metal detectors and/or a physical pat-down to screen all guests at security checkpoints. Students should form single-file lines and continue walking through detectors. If a student does not feel comfortable with the metal detector screening due to medical reasons, a physical pat-down will be conducted instead.
Football
Hayes is also the juror for the 47th annual Juried Student Exhibition, which is on display alongside his exhibition. — Miller is averaging 3.0 three-pointers per game, which ranks No. 34 in the country. — Brandon Miller is averaging 17.9 points per game, the most by any freshman in the country and No. 65 overall.

Following a four-year rebuilding period, Wallace led the Lions to a 7–4–1 record in 1992 and competed in the second round of the Division II championship until losing to Jacksonville State, the eventual Division II national champions. Upon Self’s retirement from coaching in 1969, Durell Mock became the first, and so far only, former Lion player to become the Lions’ head football coach. During Mock’s third and final season as head coach, the University became a charter member of the Gulf South Conference. Three years later Mickey Andrews came to Florence and stayed four years before giving way to Wayne Grubb as the school’s fourth head coach. The 2008 season, UNA’s 60th since football returned to campus, was emblematic of the Lions’ current position in college football. The Lions posted a 12-2 record and came within one game of playing for the Division II National Championship on its home field.

Saturday's win against Houston on the road came with their fare share of accolades as Alabama was ranked in the top five in both the coaches poll and AP Top 25 which were released on Monday. That’s because UNA had served as the host for the Division II Football Championship since 1986, and is the only school to have had the chance to claim a Division II title on its home field. Following a record-setting season of his own, North Alabama quarterback A.J. Milwee was the runner-up for the Division II National Player of the Year Award. That award is the Harlon Hill Trophy, named for the former Lion standout end whose name has been on the player of the year award since its creation in 1986.
Brown Jr. has a career-best 832 rushing yards this season with six touchdowns. Also the team's primary kick returner, Brown Jr. as amassed 1,421 yards this season (118.4/game). UAB boasts the nation's 5th ranked rushing offense and has shattered school rushing records this season. Entering the bowl game, UAB has a school-record 2,925 rushing yards and is currently on pace to set the record for rushing yards per game (243.8). UAB's contest against Miami is the first bowl game of the 2022 season, and is also the first meeting between the two programs. Both teams enter the game at 6-6 overall and each won their season finale to achieve bowl eligibility.
